The Federal Training Center provides premier federal financial management and communication training. We are a small woman-owned business. We offer a wide range of federal financial management training and development seminars relating to budget, accounting, and appropriations law. Communication courses are also offered that help professionals write, speak, and interact with impact.
The Federal Training Center is committed to the Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Council and DoD core competencies for federal financial and program managers. Our courses support the professional development plans for financial managers, budget analysts, accountants, and program managers. Our new Financial Management Certificates can certify your expertise in financial management, budget or accounting.
Our courses are NASBA certified. The courses are practical and in-depth and contain up-to-date materials. Our instructors are experts in their respective fields and effectively communicate material in a fun and interactive environment. Our goal is for participants to return to the workplace ready to apply new skills immediately. Each course is designed as a building block for a successful career.
National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) CPE Credit The Federal Training Center is registered on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors, as many of our courses meet the professional certification requirements for students seeking CPE credits. NASBA CPE credit information can be found on the individual webpages of the courses that meet these requirements.
Our field of study includes courses are Accounting (Governmental) or Auditing (Governmental). State boards of accountancy have final authority on awarding CPE credit. Prerequisites and/or advance preparation, if applicable, will be identified in the individual course descriptions on our website.

The Federal Training Center is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have the final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.
Cancellations and Transfers for Open Enrollment Classes
We permit student substitutions at any time up to the start of a class. Fourteen days or more prior to the start of the class, no charges will be incurred for cancelling or transfer of class registration.
Thirteen days or fewer prior to the start of the class, we require full tuition. We offer credit for the course (of equal or lesser value) for up to 1 year from the course start date. There is no refund. If rescheduling, please notify us that you are applying a transfer “credit.”
Student No-Show for Open Enrollment Classes
If a student fails to attend class, the full tuition is due and there is no credit available to transfer or refund. Refunds and Credits for Open Enrollment Classes Refunds are made upon request only for registrations cancelled 14 calendar days or more prior to the class start date. Otherwise, credit will be issued. Credits granted can be applied for any future class of equal or lesser value.
Certificate of Completion for Open Enrollment Classes and Private Group Training
Full class attendance and successful completion of all course requirements (graded or not) are required to receive a Certificate of Completion. Qualifying students will receive a pdf copy of their Certificate of Completion by email within 2 weeks of the end date of the class.
In case of illness or unavoidable emergency that results in partial attendance, makeup time may be scheduled on a space-available basis.

For Open Enrollment classes, we will refund your tuition fee or apply it to another product or service of your choice. For Private Group Training, we will redeliver the course at no additional cost.
Student Conduct Policy for Open Enrollment Classes and Private Group Training
Students attending The Federal Training Center courses are expected to act in a professional manner to other students, instructors, and The Federal Training Center staff while attending a course. This includes ensuring that you do not improperly use or present as your own someone else’s words, thoughts, or data in a class assignment. To best support your own learning, you should complete all graded assignments in this course yourself, without any use of generative artificial intelligence (AI). Please refrain from using AI tools to generate any content (text, video, audio, images, code, etc.) for an assignment or classroom exercise. Passing off any AI-generated content as your own (e.g., cutting and pasting content into written assignments or paraphrasing AI content) constitutes a violation of our Student Conduct Policy. Intellectual Property Policy for Open Enrollment Classes and Private Group Training
By registering for or otherwise ordering a The Federal Training Center course or training service, you agree and acknowledge that The Federal Training Center training materials are protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. Therefore, you cannot reproduce, distribute, create derivative works of, or publicly display/perform such materials. In addition, you agree not to use the company’s training materials — including but not limited to the concepts and ideas expressed in the training — to create a competing product/service.
Nondiscrimination Policy for Course Attendees
It is The Federal Training Center policy to provide training opportunities to its customers and their employees who attend the company’s courses without regard to, and does not discriminate based on: • Race • Color • National Origin • Religion • Age • Sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), • Disability • Genetic Information • Veteran status • Any other reason as provided by applicable Federal, state, or local statute/regulation.
Moreover, The Federal Training Center expressly prohibits any form of discriminatory harassment conduct based on a protected characteristic where such conduct creates a hostile environment or where enduring such conduct becomes a condition of continued access to a company’s training program or a training related decision about a course attendee.
The Federal Training Center provides individuals with all assistance necessary to address a disability or special learning need in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
The Federal Training Center requires notice of at least 14 calendar days prior to the start of the class to ensure that any disability or special learning needs are addressed appropriately. If such notice is not provided for an Open Enrollment class, the individual will be automatically rescheduled for the next session of the course.
